I want it to open automatically whenever I open my laptop. Occasionally, classic Outlook tries to run a process in the background. Auto-archive, sending and receiving a very large attachment, or running some of the other mailbox tools can all be done in the background. Check the status bar at the bottom of the screen to see if another process is running.

In this case, you’ll have to remove your app’s cache to resolve your issue. Should you decide to remove a profile, back up the data files first. If creating a new profile solves your issue, you can return to the Show Profiles dialog and delete your old profile. If you try to delete or move a large number of messages at once, Outlook can appear to freeze, but really, it's working behind the scenes. If Outlook is performing some operation on hundreds or thousands of messages at once, it might appear to be stuck. Give Outlook a few minutes to finish the process and it should start to work again. Often there is the option to add sites to a whitelist, and you can give more permissions to Outlook. The easiest way to find out if this is the problem is to temporarily disable your antivirus software and log in to Outlook as usual. If the prompts go away, you'll know it was the antivirus software. There are a number of reasons this issue arises, which makes it even more infuriating. It could be an issue with a setting on the account, or it could be something external that is blocking normal functions in Outlook.

There’s also an option to send a different message to senders outside your organization. As of March 2024, you can still use the older Mail and Calendar apps on existing devices. However, Microsoft plans to phase them out by the end of the year, making the new Outlook 2024 (Outlook for Windows) the default email client.
