 If you can't choose any of the menu options, type inside an email message, calendar event, or contact, Outlook may have frozen. There are three steps you can take to try to get Outlook working again. This option could be useful if you constantly have to wait for Outlook to rebuild its data file when you restart. Microsoft has its own tool for automatically scanning and correcting Office when things go awry. You can read about it and then run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to see if that helps.
 This issue has been fixed for Outlook.com country domains. If you used the workaround below you can now switch from using an Outlook.com alias to your country's domain. When users select the Manage Microsoft Storage quota link at the bottom corner in Outlook.com, they are taken to a blank Settings page. Every antivirus software is different, so you'll want to look up how to specifically enable Outlook with the software you're using.
 After performing the method start Outlook again to check if the method has worked and eliminated the error. Now, that you know the reason for the Outlook Profile being stuck, it should be easier to choose the right methods to fix the issue. Sometimes, Outlook might not work if other Office-related processes are still running. You can end all office-related processes in task manager to ensure a fresh start. Corrupted Outlook files are a common cause related to Outlook. To rectify/repair it, Microsoft has provided an inbuilt utility called Scanpst.exe.
 This is one of the more popular culprits as to why Outlook repeatedly asks for your password. A laggy search is one of the most common Microsoft Outlook problems. It may arise at different times, depending on your platform or device. If your account hasn't been active in over 270 days, it is considered inactive. Live.com addresses are gone forever when they are deleted.
 You can also add the secondary connected accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) in Outlook.com as additional accounts in the Outlook profile. Not something you want to take on lightly, but sometimes you have to. Similar to our earlier suggestion of repairing Office (see #3 Repair Your Microsoft Office above), perform the same steps except choose to Uninstall. Be aware that you may need your product key if you received one.
 To disable this feature, you'll need to edit the Windows Registry. It's incredibly common to have Outlook crash because of a corrupted PST file. Scroll down for an entire section on this specific issue.
